It is true about the quality of furniture... buy cheap and you'll be replacing sooner due to it falling apart or wearing too fast. Ben's Furniture is an incredible place to shop for home furniture! They were very helpful and all staff had a wonderful demeanor. There were several styles and choices to choose from and I was very pleased with the bedroom set and couch I purchased. Plus they're local and I would much rather support a local business than a big name store with terrible customer service!
